The Full Moon Party happens on Sunrise Beach (Haad Rin Nok), at the southern tip of Koh Phangan. Here's how the peninsula is laid out so you can find your way around — day or night.

Getting your bearings
Haad Rin sits on a small peninsula at the very south of Koh Phangan with a beach on each side. Haad Rin Nok ("Sunrise Beach") faces east and is where the Full Moon Party happens. Haad Rin Nai ("Sunset Beach")faces west, is calmer, and has the main pier where many ferries arrive. The two are a 5-minute walk apart through the town's walking street.
Arriving
Most people reach Haad Rin by ferry to the pier, or by taxi/songthaew over the hill from Thong Sala and Ban Tai. See getting here for the full routes, and where to stay — being within walking distance of Haad Rin is a big advantage on the big night.
On the night
There's no single entrance — wristband/gate points sit at the access roads onto Sunrise Beach. Bring small cash, wear closed shoes, and agree your taxi fare before leaving. Read the safety guidebefore you go.
